The Show n Shine was a bit of a last minute affair, held the morning of prize giving and it was threatening rain. Judging was possibly more rushed than usual so that the judges didn’t get wet. This didn’t prevent the competitors from hanging around in the carpark and casting aspersions on their fellow competitors efforts. One car got a special mention but didn’t make the prize draw on account of the owner having only picked up the car from the dealer about three days before. And at least one hopeful competitor put their car up for sale!
The winners on the day were John Tate in the classic class and Debbie Scullin in the modern class. Debbie was seen wandering around with her buffing cloth though not observed actually applying it to the car while in the car park but she had prepped well!
